Banana in coconut milk (Kluay buad Chee)


2 boiled bananas – chopped into 6 pieces

1 cup coconut milk

1 cup sugar
2 pinches salt

1-2 pandan leaves

½ cup coconut cream
1 tsp roasted sesame seeds


  1. Boil unpeeled bananas with medium heat for 10 minutes cold it down with cold water then cut into small pieces.
  2. Warm the coconut milk over low heat, then add sugar, salt and pandan leaves and stir to dissolve.
  3. Add banana and bring to a boil (use low heat). Cook for around 10 minutes

4. Pour in the coconut cream and stir
5. Remove from heat. Serve warm or cold, topped with sesame
